Free business tools that are actually free

"Free" online usually means free until the moment it matters: free until you want the file without a watermark, free for three exports a month, free once you have handed over an email address. None of the KaiOrb instruments work that way. There is no account, no limit and no upgrade prompt, and this article is partly a list of what each one cannot do — because a tool that only tells you its strengths is selling.

Documents

• PDF Size Reducer — recompresses the images inside a PDF. Halves a typical scan. Will not shrink a text-heavy document, and says so.
• Quote & Estimate Generator — line items, discount, tax, printed to PDF by your own browser. Does not store or number your quotes between visits.
• Purchase Order Generator — the same engine with buyer, supplier and a delivery date. Not a procurement system; it makes documents.

Media

• Photo Size Targeter — compresses an image to an exact KB limit and strips EXIF as a side effect. Cannot invent quality that is not there.
• Video to Audio — extracts an audio track to WAV, with a 16 kHz mono preset for transcription. No MP3 output, because that needs a licensed encoder we will not bundle.

Technical

• Subnet & CIDR Calculator — IPv4 and IPv6 with exact big-integer arithmetic, a prefix recommender and an overlap check. Follows RFC 3021, so a /31 correctly shows two usable addresses.
• Web Essentials — UTM builder, slug generator, robots.txt and sitemap checks. Fetches nothing from your live site.
• Web & Marketing Toolkit — meta and Open Graph tags with live previews, JSON-LD, redirect rules for three servers, keyword cleanup.

Business

• Finance Analyzer — gross and net margin, burn, runway and break-even. Arithmetic, not advice; it does not know your tax position.

The one we did not ship

There is no QR code generator, and there was nearly one. We wrote a complete encoder, then checked it against a reference implementation and found it produced codes that would not scan. A QR code fails after it has been printed on a flyer, which is the worst moment to discover a bug, so it was deleted rather than shipped. It will appear when it is right.
