How the totals are worked out
Every amount is held in whole cents from the moment you type it. Line amount is quantity times unit price; the subtotal is the sum of the lines; the discount comes off the subtotal; tax applies to what is left. Rounding happens once, per line, rather than at the end.
That ordering matters: doing the arithmetic in floating point and rounding at the end is how a total ends up a penny away from the sum of its own rows, which is precisely the discrepancy a client notices.
Not an accounting system. It does not store anything, number your documents sequentially, or know your tax rules — the tax field is a plain percentage and applies to everything on the document. Check the rate against your jurisdiction before sending.
Questions people actually ask
A purchase order exists so everyone agrees what was ordered before an invoice argues about it. This raises a clean one with a reference number your supplier can quote back.
How do I create a purchase order for free?
Fill in buyer and supplier, add the lines, set a delivery date and print. No account and no watermark.
What should a purchase order include?
A unique PO number, the date raised, buyer and supplier details, itemised goods or services with quantities and unit prices, the total, and any terms. All of those are on the form, and the PO number is pre-filled in a sequence you can overwrite.
Can I save it as a PDF?
Yes — print, then choose Save as PDF. The editor is hidden in print, so you get the document by itself.
Does it track POs or number them for me?
No. It generates documents; it does not store them or keep a sequence between visits. If you need a register, keep the PDFs or use an accounting system.
Is supplier pricing sent anywhere?
No. Everything stays in the browser tab.
